1. How many keys do you have in use?
2. Will you need to provide for more than one of each spare key? If so how many?
3. How many additional keys will you require for future use? Add 1, 2 and 3 together to establish your maximum number of keys the cabinet will accommodate. Underestimation of keys in use, or in future use, is common. We therefore suggest you add at least 10% to your total.
4. Do you have any extra large or extra small keys? If so, then note the number and order that quantity of key adaptors.
5. Do you have any groups of keys? i.e. Showcases, desk keys, spare sets of tenants' keys. If so, then note the number of groups (max. 4 keys per group) and order that quantity of multi key adaptors.
6. Do you require an internal lockable door for storing keys requiring extra security? If so, cabinets R or RK 200, 250, 300, 400, 500 or 600 will be required.
7. Locks. Do you require additional security for your keys? Then you will need a cabinet with a KABA lock system. All KABA cabinets are prefixed RK.
8. Are all your keys to be kept in one location? For example, if you have 180 keys in use on two floors or in two different areas and you require a cabinet with a 200 key capacity, it may be more practical to order two 100 key cabinets.
