Clock Case Slate Blacking Curator 120ml - HF6026

Restores grey or dulled slate clock cases to their original jet black finish. For black marble & slate clocks. Ensure the clock case is free of dirt, grease and waxes by using White Spirit. Dry the case with a soft clean cloth whilst the surface is still wet, then leave for 2-3 hours (Wire Wool can be used with the White Spirit for badly marked cases). Apply the Slate Blacking evenly over the surface with a clean lint free cloth. Two coats are normally required but for very grey or white areas may need more. If the Slate Blacking should get into inlay, it should be removed with a damp cloth before it dries. When the slate case is dry, it can be buffed to a high shine with a soft duster. For further protection apply a light coat of beeswax polish.
