Returns Policy

Your statutory rights

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Change-of-mind returns (non-faulty goods)

You may return items you no longer want provided:

  • You notify us within 14 days of delivery that you wish to cancel your purchase.
  • You return the goods to us within 14 days of notifying us (a total of 28 days from delivery).
  • Goods are returned in perfect, resaleable condition, which for our specialist tools and parts means:
    • Unused and unfitted
    • Free from wear, marks, scratches or signs of use
    • Complete with all accessories, packaging, instructions and any protective materials
    • Packaging in good order, with no rips or tears
  • You include the original invoice or order number with your return.

Please note:

  • Some precision tools, clock parts, electronic testers and consumables may show minor imperfections when opened. Items must be in truly unused condition to be accepted for refund.
  • Return postage costs are your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

Returns outside the notification period

Goods correctly supplied and returned after the 14-day notification period may be accepted for credit at our discretion, and a 10% handling and restocking fee may be deducted from your refund.

This does not apply to faulty, incorrectly supplied or damaged goods.

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods

If an item is faulty, damaged in transit, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible and within 14 days of delivery.

In such cases:

  • We will cover reasonable return shipping costs, provided the fault/damage is confirmed.
  • You will be entitled to a full refund, replacement, or repair, as appropriate.
  • Any original delivery charges will also be refunded if required by law.

Where appropriate, we may request photographs or evidence to assess the fault before authorising a return.

Items that cannot be returned for change of mind

Certain specialist products cannot be returned for a change of mind due to their nature, including but not limited to:

  • Consumables and workshop materials once opened
  • Precise clock, watch or jeweller parts removed from sealed packaging
  • Specialist electronic testers or equipment
  • Made-to-order tools or bespoke configurations

These items may only be returned if faulty or not as described.

How to return an item

  1. Download and complete the HS Walsh Returns Form and include it with the goods.
  2. Pack the goods securely, ideally with tracked and insured post, as returned items remain your responsibility until received.
  3. Send to the address shown on the Returns Form.

Returns received without a completed form may be delayed or rejected.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • We process refunds within 14 days of receiving and inspecting the returned items.
  • If return postage was charged and you are entitled to a refund under this policy, return postage costs will be reimbursed in line with statutory rights.
