Charity Auction Raises Impressive £17,000 In Aid Of The Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust
With the cheffins auction closing last night, we are incredibly pleased to confirm that an amazing £17,000 was raised in aid of the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).
One of the top lots (No.6) was a jewellery masterclass for a group of up to 6 people, with Cheffins Head of Jewellery, Fay Roach. The lucky winners will attend an exclusive private view of a specialist Jewellery, Silver and Watches sale, to be enjoyed with a glass or two of fizz. Fay will then take them through the basics of how to use a loupe, how to tell the difference between a diamond, and it's simulants, whilst giving a description of inclusions and the different types found in the most popular gemstones, a guide to understanding hallmarking, as well as discussing trends in the jewellery market.
The masterclass will run one evening in the spring and each lucky winner will receive a HS Walsh goodie bag, including their very own jewellery loupe! In addition, each guest will be invited to bring along a piece of their own jewellery for appraisal on the night, which will coincide with the Cheffins Jewellery, Silver & Watches Sales in April.
Proceeds from the auction will now go towards building a playroom for children being treated at the new Cambridge Children’s Hospital (CCH).
Congratulations to Cheffins for raising this superb amount!
