HS Walsh Supports Cheffins Jewellery Masterclass Offering in aid of Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust
We're pleased to be supporting Cheffins' charity auction in aid of the Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT), which is now live and ends on the 23rd November at 6pm.
One of the top lots (No.6) is a jewellery masterclass for a group of up to 6 people, with Cheffins Head of Jewellery, Fay Roach, where you will be invited to an exclusive private view of a specialist Jewellery, Silver and Watches sale, to be enjoyed with a glass or two of fizz. Fay will then take you through the basics of how to use a loupe, how to tell the difference between a diamond, and it's simulants, whilst giving you a brief description of inclusions and the different types found in the most popular gemstones, a guide to understanding hallmarking, as well as discussing trends in the jewellery market.
The masterclass will run in the evening and is expected to last around two hours, and guests can enjoy drinks and nibbles throughout. Furthermore, each guest will be given a HS Walsh goodie bag on the night, including their very own jewellery loupe! In addition, each guest will be invited to bring along a piece of their own jewellery for appraisal on the night. Dates to be agreed, but will be offered to coincide with either their April, August or November Jewellery, Silver & Watches Sales.
Proceeds from the auction will go towards building a playroom for children being treated at the new Cambridge Children’s Hospital (CCH).
