Staff Training with Elma Ultrasonic in Singen, Germany
We're keen to keep our staff up to date with training on the machinery we sell, so regular trips to suppliers is a must, however this one has been a long time coming.
Our buyers Andrew and Lee were due to visit Elma Ultrasonic in Singen, Germany in March of 2020, but obviously the pandemic had other ideas. We finally managed to reshedule their 2 day trip just last week.
The purpose was to learn more about the ElmaSolvex VA watch cleaning machine and familiarising themselves with the 5 year servicing procedure for this complex piece of kit. Both Andrew and Lee were able to carry out a full service each, working closely with Elma technical staff. They were also able to give input into the servicing SoP, creating a very useful exchange of ideas.
In the near future, we hope to be able to offer servicing for the ElmaSolvex VA, both at our Biggin Hill head office in Kent and on site at our UK customers. This is preferable, as currently the units have to be returned to Elma in Germany, with the associated time and cost implications. The guys are also hoping to return to Elma later in the year, for further training on their wider product range meaning that we may be in a position to offer further servicing options, going forward.
