This industry-standard tester employs a series of acids that undergo color changes upon contact with the metal allowing for easy identification of gold and determination of its carat. In addition, it also facilitates silver testing.

Designed to accommodate a wide range of users, including those with colour vision issues, this tester provides clear instructions and employs color-reaction indicators that are easily discernible.
