Balkan Motors was established in 1953 manufacturing sewing machines but in 1970 began to produce high speed universal electric motors. These motors were used in many applicances such as sewing machines, hand dryers and coffee grinders and they realised that the qualities which made them successfull in these areas made them ideal for use tin the jewellery, horol;ogical and dental trades. Thus the range of Balkan pendant motors was born. Today they produce micromotors and bench top polishing machines alongside their solid functioning pendant motors.
