The 2K-AU Setting Tool has been specially developed for setting angular stones, including princess cut diamonds and other square-cut stones. Its unique geometry helps jewellers work safely around delicate stone edges and setting corners, reducing the risk of damage during the setting process.
Unlike traditional gravers, the 2K-AU features a smooth, non-serrated front surface that prevents unwanted milling marks in the axial direction. This allows existing polished edges to remain untouched while making precise adjustments to square bezel settings and other angular designs.
The tool is particularly useful where gravers are unsuitable or cannot be used effectively. By matching the geometry of angular gemstones, it provides greater control when fitting stones into square settings while helping to protect vulnerable corners and edges.
In addition to stone setting, the 2K-AU is also ideal for grain setting, where it can be used to cut out or separate individual grains and remove the bars between neighbouring gemstones.
